A character with a purpose

Start with the role your character needs to play

Give a brand a recognizable face

A useful mascot begins with the job it performs: welcoming a new customer, explaining a service, or celebrating a milestone. Describe one distinctive shape, two main colors, and a signature accessory. Start with a single readable pose before exploring a campaign. Review the silhouette at a small size; tiny decorative details rarely carry an identity.

Find the person inside your story

For an original character, connect appearance to a role. A lighthouse keeper with a repaired raincoat and a pocket notebook tells a different story from a generic adventurer. Specify the age range, expression, clothing, prop, and setting. Keep the description of the character separate from the scene so you can change the location without rewriting every identity cue.

Explore a game concept before production

Use character art to discuss a class, faction, or equipment idea with collaborators. A strong concept communicates how the character moves and what they do. Generated images are visual proposals: a 3D artist or illustrator still needs to resolve anatomy, equipment construction, topology, and the details required by your production pipeline.

How to use the AI Character Generator

  1. Write a compact identity brief

Name the role, silhouette, palette, outfit, and one distinguishing object. Add the visual medium and camera framing. If you have a reference you are permitted to use, upload it to guide appearance. A focused reference is easier to interpret than a busy mood board containing several unrelated people.

  2. Choose a composition and generate

Use a square for a mascot study, a portrait format for a full-body character, or a landscape frame for a story scene. Review the credit quote beside Generate before submitting. Keep the first request simple enough that you can identify which detail needs improvement.

  3. Review, refine, and save

Compare the face, proportions, clothing, colors, and props against your brief. Change one variable in the next prompt, or use an approved image as a reference. Download the result and keep its prompt with your project. Revisit saved results in My Creations instead of rebuilding the brief from memory.

Three briefs, three directions

Character concepts you can make your own

These AI-generated concept illustrations explain the briefs below. They are not evidence of a particular Img ai model run, and your results will vary.

Original pear-shaped mint robot mascot carrying a refill bottle in a cream and yellow campaign scene

AI-generated concept illustration; not a measured Img ai generation result.

A welcoming mascot for a refill brand

A simple body shape and a single recurring prop give a refill service a character that can accompany onboarding or packaging concepts. Check the bottle, face, and palette before commissioning additional poses.

Create an original friendly pear-shaped mint-green service robot mascot for a refill brand. Small charcoal oval eyes, a pale yellow crossbody pouch, rounded ceramic body, holding one plain reusable amber bottle. Welcoming full-body three-quarter pose beside a simple refill station, cream background, polished soft 3D campaign illustration, natural contact shadows, no words, no logos.

Original lighthouse apprentice in an ochre raincoat carrying a red notebook along a windswept coastal path

AI-generated concept illustration; not a measured Img ai generation result.

A lighthouse apprentice with a story to tell

The repaired raincoat and red notebook act as recurring visual cues. This scene explores mood and personality; a later scene should be checked against the approved character rather than assumed to match.

Read the starting prompt

Illustrate an original young adult lighthouse apprentice with a dark curly bob, an ochre raincoat with a navy elbow patch, sturdy lace-up boots, and a small red notebook. Walking along a windswept coastal path toward a distant lighthouse at blue hour, determined warm expression, painterly gouache storybook illustration, expressive silhouette, restrained sea-green and ochre palette, no text or franchise references.

Original desert mechanic in slate workwear with a coral utility harness and a folding solar repair kit

AI-generated concept illustration; not a measured Img ai generation result.

A desert mechanic for a game pitch

A full-body concept can communicate profession and equipment without pretending to be a production model sheet. Use the image to discuss materials, movement, and personality with an artist.

Read the starting prompt

Create a polished original game character concept of an adult desert mechanic with close-cropped silver hair, slate-blue layered workwear, a coral utility harness, weathered boots, and a compact folding solar repair kit held at the side. Full-body three-quarter stance on a quiet warm sand studio background, grounded proportions, visibly practical materials, cinematic concept painting, no weapons, no text, no logos, no existing game character.

Before you approve a character

Keep the direction. Check the details.

References guide a generation; they do not lock identity. Faces, age cues, fingers, clothing seams, and accessories may change between outputs. Compare every new scene with your approved reference.

A prompt can request several views or expressions, but this page does not guarantee matching turnarounds, exact poses, or a coherent character sheet. Begin with one view, then review additional images individually.

The result is raster artwork. It is not a vector logo, editable layered illustration, rigged 3D model, or animated character. Leave space for manual cleanup and production preparation.

Img ai vs Adobe Firefly vs Leonardo.Ai

Choose an AI Character Generator by the next decision you need to make. These are workflow differences, not a quality ranking or a claim that one tool always produces better characters.

Questions before your first character

Can I start without a reference image?

Yes. Start with a text brief describing an original character. A reference is optional for the initial concept; it becomes useful when you have a visual direction you want the next image to follow.

How do I keep a character recognizable across scenes?

Reuse the approved reference and the same short identity description. Change the scene instructions separately. Review each result for drift in facial features, body proportions, clothing, and props. There is no guaranteed consistency switch.

Can this make a brand mascot or a vector logo?

It can explore mascot artwork from a written brief. The output is an image, so a vector logo or a scalable brand system requires further design work. Test readability at the sizes where the mascot will appear.

Can I generate a character sheet or 3D game asset?

You can describe the views you want in a prompt, but alignment and anatomy need review. Generated artwork does not include a mesh, rig, animation, or game-ready asset files.

What should I upload as a reference?

Choose a clear image you are permitted to use, with the important face, outfit, or mascot shape visible. Avoid mixing several unrelated characters into one reference. For a real person, use a reference with their permission.

What if my generation is still processing after a refresh?

Recover the existing task or check My Creations before creating another request. An uncertain submission needs its status checked first. A new generation is a separate request with its own credit cost.
