AI interior design means using an image model to restyle the furniture, finishes and lighting of a room while keeping the room itself. Instead of starting from a blank 3D scene, you photograph the real room you already have and describe the look you want. The model repaints the surfaces and replaces the furniture class, so the result reads as the same space with a new interior.

IMG AI runs one guided pass over your photo. The instruction holds the camera height, camera angle and crop, keeps wall planes, ceiling, floor, door and window openings in place, and asks for a single photoreal photograph — no collage, no floor-plan overlay and no dimension arrows. You choose a room class and a style family; the tool turns that choice into the model instruction on the server.

This is a visual concept tool, not a construction document. It is useful for testing a direction before you buy furniture or brief a contractor, and it is honest about its limits: it cannot measure your room, cannot promise a product you can purchase, and does not promise that a structural detail is buildable.

What people use it for

Jobs an AI interior restyle is built for

Test a style before you commit

See a living room in a modern minimal, Nordic or natural wood direction before ordering furniture, paint, or cabinetry for the real space.

Realtor and listing previews

Show how an empty or dated room could read with a calmer palette, so a listing image speaks to the layout instead of the previous owner’s furniture.

Moodboards for a client

Turn a phone photo of a room into a photoreal concept to open a conversation with a client, then iterate the style on the same source until the direction is agreed.

Rental and short-stay refreshes

Explore low-commitment updates to furniture class, textiles and lighting before spending on pieces that may not suit the room in reality.

Interior content and design posts

Create before-and-after visuals of the same room for a design blog, a social post or a portfolio, using your own photograph as the source.

Furniture and material checks

Compare how warmer timber, pale wood or a quiet desaturated palette changes the feel of one room before you sample finishes.

How to use it

Restyle a room in three steps

The tool sits at the top of this page. Nothing is charged until you press the button, and the price and your balance are shown before you do.

Restyle a room
  1. 01

    Upload one room photo

Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP into the panel above, up to 10 MB. A straight-on photo with the doors and windows visible gives the model the most structure to preserve.

  2. 02

Choose the room and the style

Pick living room, bedroom or study, then modern minimal, Nordic or natural wood. The two choices change the instruction the model follows, not a decorative label.

  3. 03

    Compare and download

Drag the before-and-after divider to check the walls, floor and openings, then download the restyled image. Every run is saved to My Creations as well.

Cases

What the results look like

Three before-and-after pairs, which is what this tool is tuned for: one room photo restyled into a fixed style while the room itself stays.

Living room photo before an AI interior restyle, with existing furniture and a busy paletteBefore
The same living room after an AI restyle into a calm modern minimal interiorAfter

Case 01

Living room in a calm modern palette

The same living room with seating, rug and lighting replaced by a quieter, uncluttered arrangement, while the walls, floor and window stay where they were photographed.

Bedroom photo before an AI interior restyle, with dated furniture and warm wallsBefore
The same bedroom after an AI restyle into a Nordic interior with pale wood and soft textilesAfter

Case 02

Bedroom in a Nordic direction

The same bedroom restyled with pale wood, soft textiles and airy daylight, keeping the bed position, wall planes and the window opening intact.

Home study photo before an AI interior restyle, with a plain desk and painted shelvingBefore
The same study after an AI restyle into a natural wood interior with visible grain and timber furnitureAfter

Case 03

Study in natural wood

The same study restyled with visible grain, warmer cabinetry and timber-forward furniture, keeping the desk zone and the door opening in their original places.

Capabilities

What the tool does, stated plainly

One photo in, one restyled concept out. The choices are small on purpose, because a fixed instruction preserves the room better than a free text prompt.

Structure held as an instruction

The server asks the model to lock the camera height, angle and crop and to keep wall planes, ceiling, floor, and door and window openings in place. Treat it as a strong instruction, not a measured promise.

Three room classes, three style families

Living room, bedroom and study, each with modern minimal, Nordic or natural wood. Nine combinations keep the output predictable instead of turning the page into a free-form generator.

One photoreal frame

The output is a single photoreal interior photograph with no collage, split screen, floor-plan overlay or dimension arrows, so it reads like a photo rather than a diagram.

Saved to My Creations

Each run is stored against your account with its source, so you can reopen the result, compare revisions and download it again from My Creations.

Where it struggles, stated plainly

  • The result is a visual concept. It does not measure the room, so do not treat a design as a construction document or a shopping list.
  • Furniture in the output is invented, not a real product. You cannot buy the exact piece shown, and dimensions are not to scale.
  • A wide-angle or heavily cropped photo gives the model less structure; a mirror, a glass wall or an open plan can be reinterpreted between the source and the result.
  • Very dark photos, strong lens distortion and rooms that are mostly empty are harder to restyle faithfully, and a wall or door edge can shift even when the instruction asks it not to.
  • Lighting is re-rendered, so the time of day and the direction of daylight in the result may differ from the photo you uploaded.

Door and window openings are an instruction, not a measurement. Check them against your original photo before you use the result.

The four routes to a restyled room answer different questions. One gives you a fast visual direction, one gives you a general image, one gives you a measured model, and one gives you a person who is accountable for the plan.

Credits and output

What one interior restyle costs

Each restyle costs 20 credits and returns one 1K photoreal image of the same room in the style you chose. Credits come from your IMG AI plan, and every tool here draws on the same balance.

The price is on the button before anything is spent, and your balance is checked before the run starts. A run the provider reports as failed returns its credits. A run you cancel, and a run that finishes but returns nothing readable, keep their charge — both are visible in My Creations.

One press is one charge. Pressing twice, losing the response on a bad connection or reloading the page all rejoin the same run instead of starting a second one.

FAQ

Questions people ask before their first restyle

What does AI Interior Design actually change in my photo?

It restyles the interior of the room: furniture class, finishes, textiles, and lighting. It is instructed to hold the camera height, angle and crop and to keep the wall planes, ceiling, floor, and door and window openings where they were photographed. That instruction is not a measurement, so always check the openings and wall edges on the compare view before you rely on the image.

Can I choose the room type and the interior style?

Yes. Choose one room class — living room, bedroom or study — and one style family, either modern minimal, Nordic or natural wood. The pair is turned into a fixed model instruction on the server, so the result is predictable rather than a free-form prompt, and the price stays the same for every combination.

What can I upload, and what do I get back?

One JPG, PNG or WebP room photo up to 10 MB, with each side between 256 and 4,096 pixels and no more than 16 megapixels. You get one 1K photoreal image of the restyled room. A file over 10 MB or an unsupported type is rejected at upload; a photo outside the pixel range is re-checked and rejected before any credit is reserved, and the tool only accepts a photo you uploaded through this site under your own account.

Can I buy the furniture shown, or trust the dimensions?

No. The output is a visual concept. Furniture is generated, not a specific product, and nothing in the image is to scale. Use it to agree on a direction, then specify real pieces and measure the room separately. Treat a contractor or a designer as the source of truth for anything structural or buildable.

Does it preserve doors, windows and the floor plan?

The tool asks the model to keep wall planes, ceiling, floor, and door and window openings in place and not to invent extra architecture. Models can still drift on very wide angles, mirrors, glass walls or nearly empty rooms, so compare the openings and wall edges against your original. If a structure must be exact, a measured 3D model or a designer is the right tool.

What happens if a run fails, or I close the tab?

A run is charged once and tied to the task it created. Reloading the page or coming back later rejoins that same task instead of starting a new one, and a run the provider reports as failed returns its credits. A run you cancel yourself keeps its charge, and every run stays visible in My Creations with its source photo.
